A relatively understated Art Deco inspired design was used for these railings.
A subtle feature of the railings is the hot punched holes that the uprights pass through. This detailing was made by forcing a hardened punch through the steel whilst hot. The metal
was soft enough to be pushed aside by the punch as it passed through the
bar, this created the attractive and expressive swellings surrounding the holes.
